Gum Treatments
While seldom painful and frequently free of any obvious signs or symptoms, periodontal disease can progress undetected to the point where supporting bone is destroyed. 80% to 90% of teenagers have some form of gingivitis (inflamed gums) and up to 75% of adults have some form of the irreversible periodontal disease that can lead to the loss of teeth. |

Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom teeth may erupt into their correct position and not cause any complications. However, some wisdom teeth may cause dental issues requiring them to be taken out. The most common reason being inadequate space in the jaw resulting in the teeth becoming impacted or not being able to erupt into a proper position in the jaw. This may result in pressure being placed on the surrounding teeth, infection and swelling of the surrounding gum or tooth decay. If pain or swelling is felt the dentist may be contacted immediately for intervention and treatment. |

Crowns & Bridges
When one or more teeth require replacing, a Bridge can be an option. This is because a bridge acts as an anchor to surrounding teeth and assists in restoring the appearance, position and bite after the loss of one or more teeth. If a tooth is replaced with bridgework, the teeth on both sides are prepared as crowns to serve as abutments, so that the bridge will be cemented in place. |
